Diagnosis With Brief Discussion

Reviewy
Intravascular lymphomatosis (IVL)
a rare and distinctive form of malignant lymphoma
proliferation of neoplastic lymphoid cells, mostly of B-cell origin, in the vascular lumina
Can affect vessels in any organ

CT findings of pulmonary IVL: nonspecific
M/C: bilateral GGO +/- nodules or consolidation
Interlobular septal thickening, peribronchovascular thickening, LNE: not as high as usual lymphomas
Vascular dissemination rather than through lymphatic channels
Predominantly in periphery of the lung
Related to vascular occlusion affecting peripheral small vessels rather than large vessels
PET: reported to be useful by several authors
All patients showed increased FDG uptake

Differential diagnosis
Subacute HP, PCP, diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, other neoplastic conditions
